Mushroom Farm Defender

Strategy Defense Games, also known as Tower Defense Games can be very addictive, especially when designed with fun graphics. But ultimately, it boils down to the challenge and interactivity. Most tower defense games have very limited interaction, or lower quality graphics. However, there is occassionally a great game that implements both, and offers a challenge to boot.

This leads us to Mushroom Farm Defender. A game that has fun graphics, great interaction, and provides three difficulties and three maps. There are four mushroom towers to build, each tower can be leveled up three times, and different towers can receive a different number of gems. Combination of gems provide different effects. The enemies stream through the map with a growing life meter, various speeds, and different protections against types of attacks.

To beat Mushroom Farm Defender at the hardest level, follow these simple steps.

1. Consider Location. Especially when you first start, place your towers where the enemies must stream past the tower twice. Also, when you first start out, place one tower near the top, and one near the bottom. Once the enemies are past the first tower, start the second wave of enemies. Starting the wave before the timer runs out gives you a few extra points to buy more towers and upgrades. As you progress, this dollar amount means little, but at the beginning of the game, play fast.

2. Level up or More Units. This is one of the most critical points in the game, should you buy more units, level up, or buy gems. On easy and medium difficulties, it is not such an important point, but on hard, it is a deciding factor in possible victory and certain death. On hard, have three of the lowest units fully leveled up before getting the next up tower. Then, build three of these towers. Level them up and phase out the little towers for the new towers. Then, introduce the third type of tower. Don't even waste your resources on the fourth tower, it won't help on hard. Do not start building the orange mushrooms until you can afford to start upgrading them. A dark green tower at level 3 will cost a total of 2800 and takes off 400 hit points. An orange tower at level 2 cost 3800 and takes off 450 hit points. Level 3 takes of 950. The fourth tower costs 12,000 to get to level 3, and barely does more damage than the orange towers.

3. Use Gems. In easy and medium modes, gems are fun, in hard, they are necessary. I like to give the dark green towers the slow ability (water and thunder gems). Then, I like to build an army of teleporters (orange mushrooms with three thunder gems) at the end of the maze. Of course, arrange them where they still get double passes on the enemies. At the top of the maze, create Instant Death towers (orange towers with one of each gem). Just keep adding towers to both ends, focusing more on the teleporters.

4. Strive to survive. Basically, it is highly likely that you will allow a few baddies to slip through to the farm. This injures your health; too many times and you will lose the farm, and the game. Accept the fact that a couple will get through and do not waste resources building towers to block one or two enemies. You will eventually lose this chase, because the placement of the helpers are not optimal. To recap, you only need one point of health left to win. :)

When you finish clearing out all the enemies on all three maps, then you will likely be in the mood to play some war games. So consider gearing up for some intense battles and play fierce tank games. So choose your bradley and cruise into battle in style.
